Desorption atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003065

A mass spectrometry technique that combines desorption ionization with atmospheric pressure chemical ionization. The analyte is desorbed from a surface and then ionized in the gas phase by chemical ionization at atmospheric pressure. This method is suitable for direct analysis of samples without extensive preparation, often used for non-volatile compounds.
