Evaluation function
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004129
A mathematical relationship that expresses the estimated value of a measurand as a function of the observed analytical signal. This function is derived from the calibration function and is used to calculate the concentration or amount of an analyte in an unknown sample from its measured response. The evaluation function's validity is confined to the working range established during calibration, and its uncertainty is a key component in the overall uncertainty of the analytical result.
