Recovery time

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010031

The duration required for a radiation detector or an electronic circuit to return to its normal operating state after processing a signal from a detected event. During this period, the detector may be unable to register subsequent events accurately. This parameter is particularly relevant in high count rate applications, where it can affect the linearity and dead time of the measurement system.
