Change ratio of a quantity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001869
The ratio of the change in a quantity of one component to the change in the same kind of quantity of another component of the same system, written as the differential of Q1 divided by the differential of Q2 for an infinitesimal change, or as the finite increments over a time interval. The mass change ratio and the amount of substance change ratio are examples. It differs from relative change, which divides a change by the initial value of a single quantity.
