Fractional change of a quantity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004628
The ratio of the change in a quantity to its initial value, expressed as a dimensionless number. It indicates the relative alteration of a variable, providing insight into the magnitude of change proportional to the original amount. This measure is often used in kinetics and thermodynamics to describe reaction progress or system perturbations.
