Change of mass
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001868
A measurable alteration in the mass of a material or system, often observed during chemical reactions or physical processes. In electrochemical piezoelectric microgravimetry, this change is detected by monitoring the resonant frequency of a quartz crystal. The change in mass is directly proportional to the change in frequency, as described by the Sauerbrey equation.
