Electrochemical biosensor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003653
A device that combines a biological recognition element with an electrochemical transducer to detect specific analytes. The biological component, such as an enzyme or antibody, selectively interacts with the analyte, producing a chemical change that the electrochemical transducer converts into a measurable electrical signal. These sensors are widely used for medical diagnostics and environmental monitoring.
