Electrochemical detector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003657
A type of detector used in analytical chemistry, particularly in chromatography, that measures the current or potential generated by an electrochemical reaction involving the analyte. It operates by applying a potential across an electrode and monitoring the resulting current as the analyte undergoes oxidation or reduction. These detectors are sensitive to electroactive species.
