Mass-flow sensitive detector

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007008

A type of detector in chromatography that responds to the mass of analyte passing through it per unit time, rather than its concentration. Such detectors are useful because their response is generally independent of the carrier gas flow rate. A common example is the flame ionization detector (FID).
