Chronoamperometry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002067
An electrochemical technique where the current flowing through an electrochemical cell is measured as a function of time following a sudden change in the applied potential. The potential is stepped from an initial value to a final value, and the resulting current decay is monitored. The current response is governed by diffusion of the electroactive species to the electrode surface, often described by the Cottrell equation.
