Chronopotentiometry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002071
An electrochemical technique where a constant current is applied to an electrochemical cell, and the resulting potential of the working electrode is measured as a function of time. The time it takes for the potential to change abruptly, known as the transition time, is characteristic of the concentration of the electroactive species. This method is used for quantitative analysis and studying reaction kinetics.
