Galvanostat
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013118
An electronic instrument designed to maintain a constant current through an electrochemical cell, regardless of changes in the cell's resistance. It achieves this by automatically adjusting the applied voltage across the electrodes. This device is commonly used in electroanalytical techniques such as chronopotentiometry and for controlling electroplating processes.
