Cell constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001775
A geometric factor characteristic of an electrochemical conductivity cell, defined as the ratio of the distance between the electrodes to the effective area of the electrodes. It is used to convert the measured resistance of an electrolyte solution into its conductivity. The cell constant is typically determined by measuring the resistance of a solution with known conductivity, such as a standard potassium chloride solution.
