Time constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012062
A characteristic parameter representing the time required for a system's response to reach approximately 63.2% of its final value after a step change in input. In electrical circuits, it is often the product of resistance and capacitance (RC) or inductance and resistance (L/R). It quantifies the speed of response or decay in dynamic systems.
