Crystalline electrodes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002758
Ion-selective electrodes constructed from a solid, sparingly soluble crystalline material that exhibits selective ion conductivity. The crystal lattice contains specific sites that can exchange with target ions in the sample solution, generating a potential difference. These electrodes are used for direct potentiometric measurements of ion activities in solutions.
