Non-crystalline electrodes

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008014

Ion-selective electrodes where the sensing membrane is composed of a non-crystalline material, such as a polymer matrix containing an ionophore. These electrodes respond to specific ions by selective binding or exchange processes at the membrane interface. Examples include liquid membrane electrodes and polymer membrane electrodes.
