Non-crystalline membrane

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008015

A type of membrane material that lacks a regular, repeating atomic or molecular structure. These membranes are often polymeric and exhibit an amorphous arrangement of their constituent molecules. They are frequently used in ion-selective electrodes due to their ability to incorporate ionophores and provide selective ion transport.
