Ion exchanger
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006081
A material, typically a resin, that is capable of reversibly exchanging its own mobile ions with ions of similar charge from a surrounding solution. These materials are widely used in chromatography for separating ionic species based on their charge and affinity. Common types include cation and anion exchange resins.
