Ion-exchange polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013212
A polymeric material containing ionizable functional groups that can reversibly exchange their mobile ions with ions from an external solution. These polymers are typically crosslinked networks, forming insoluble resins. They are widely used in water purification, chromatography, and catalysis for selective removal or concentration of specific ions.
