Thermal conductivity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011934
A material's ability to conduct heat, defined as the rate at which heat is transferred through a unit thickness of the material per unit area per unit temperature difference. It quantifies the efficiency of heat transfer by conduction. The SI unit for thermal conductivity is watts per meter-kelvin (W/(m·K)).
