Thermal conductance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011933

A measure of the rate at which heat is transferred through a specific material or across a boundary for a given temperature difference. It is the reciprocal of thermal resistance and depends on the material's thermal conductivity, its cross-sectional area, and its thickness. The SI unit for thermal conductance is watts per kelvin (W/K).
