Electric conductance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003627

A measure of a material's ability to allow the flow of an electric current. It is the reciprocal of electric resistance, quantifying how easily charge passes through a substance for a given potential difference. The standard unit of electric conductance is the siemens (S), which is equivalent to one ampere per volt (A/V) or the reciprocal ohm (Ω⁻¹).
