Electric resistance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003639

A measure of a material's opposition to the flow of electric current. For a given conductor, it is defined as the ratio of the voltage applied across its ends to the current flowing through it. The SI unit for electric resistance is the ohm (Ω), where one ohm is equal to one volt per ampere.
