Impedance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005723

A measure of the opposition to the flow of alternating current (AC) in an electrical circuit, encompassing both resistance and reactance. It is a complex quantity, represented by a complex number, where the real part is resistance and the imaginary part is reactance. The SI unit for impedance is the ohm (Ω).
