Reactance
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009961
The opposition to the flow of alternating current (AC) in an electrical circuit, arising from capacitance or inductance. Unlike resistance, reactance does not dissipate energy but stores it in electric or magnetic fields. It is measured in ohms (Ω) and is a component of impedance.
