Mutual inductance

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007712

A measure of the extent to which a change in electric current in one circuit induces an electromotive force (voltage) in a nearby circuit. It quantifies the coupling of the magnetic flux between two conductors. The SI unit for mutual inductance is the henry (H), defined as one volt-second per ampere.
