Instantaneous current

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005903

The electric current flowing through an electrochemical cell at a specific moment in time. This value can vary rapidly in dynamic electrochemical techniques, such as cyclic voltammetry, as the potential is swept. It is a fundamental parameter measured in electroanalytical chemistry to study reaction kinetics and mechanisms.
