Potentiometric enzyme electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009325
A type of biosensor that combines an enzyme with a potentiometric transducer to measure the concentration of a specific substrate. The enzyme catalyzes a reaction that produces or consumes an ion, leading to a change in potential at the electrode surface. This change in potential is then correlated with the substrate concentration, offering high selectivity for the target analyte.
