Enzyme-modified electrode

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013074

An electrode surface that has been functionalized with an enzyme, allowing for the selective detection of specific analytes through enzymatic reactions. The enzyme catalyzes a reaction involving the analyte, producing a product that can be electrochemically detected, or consuming a reactant that is monitored. These electrodes are widely used in biosensors for glucose, lactate, and other biomolecules.
