Enzyme substrate electrode
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004002
An electrochemical sensor where an enzyme is immobilized on the electrode surface, designed to detect a specific substrate. The enzyme catalyzes a reaction involving the substrate, producing a product that is electrochemically active and generates a measurable signal. This type of electrode is a biosensor, providing high selectivity for the target analyte.
