Biological recognition element
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001285
A component of a biosensor or bioanalytical assay that specifically interacts with a target analyte. This element is typically a biomolecule, such as an antibody, enzyme, nucleic acid, or receptor, chosen for its high affinity and selectivity. The interaction between the recognition element and the analyte produces a measurable signal.
