Selectivity assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010687
A biochemical or cellular assay designed to evaluate the ability of a compound to preferentially interact with a specific target, such as an enzyme or receptor, over other related targets. This type of assay quantifies the compound's binding affinity or inhibitory potency across a panel of targets. High selectivity is generally desired for therapeutic agents to minimize off-target effects and toxicity.
