Binding assay

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001227

A laboratory technique used to measure the interaction between two molecules, such as a ligand and its receptor, or an enzyme and its substrate. These assays quantify the affinity, specificity, and kinetics of molecular binding events. Common methods include radioligand binding assays, fluorescence polarization, and surface plasmon resonance.
