Bound/free ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001454
The ratio of the concentration of a substance that is bound to a specific binding partner (such as a receptor or antibody) to the concentration of the same substance that remains unbound or free in solution. This ratio is a measure of binding affinity and the extent of interaction between a ligand and its binding site. It is commonly determined in equilibrium binding assays.
