Scatchard plot

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010556

A graphical representation of binding data, derived from the Scatchard equation, where the ratio of bound ligand concentration to free ligand concentration is plotted against the bound ligand concentration. The slope of this plot provides information about the binding affinity, while the x-intercept indicates the total number of binding sites. This plot is commonly used in biochemistry and polymer science to characterize molecular interactions.
