Lineweaver-Burk plot
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013237
A graphical representation of enzyme kinetics, created by plotting the reciprocal of the reaction velocity against the reciprocal of the substrate concentration. This double-reciprocal plot linearizes the Michaelis-Menten equation, yielding a straight line. The y-intercept of the line corresponds to the reciprocal of the maximum velocity (1/Vmax), while the x-intercept represents the negative reciprocal of the Michaelis constant (-1/Km).
