Affinity chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000317
A chromatographic separation technique that exploits the specific binding affinity between an analyte and a ligand immobilized on a stationary phase. Target molecules selectively bind to the ligand, while other components pass through the column. Elution of the bound analyte is achieved by changing conditions such as pH, ionic strength, or by adding a competing ligand.
