Selective elution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010675
The process in chromatography where a specific component or group of components is preferentially removed from a stationary phase by using an eluent with tailored properties. This is achieved by carefully choosing the solvent strength, pH, or ionic strength of the mobile phase. Selective elution is a key strategy for separating complex mixtures and purifying target analytes.
