Selective excitation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010676
The process of exciting only a specific subset of nuclei or energy levels within a sample, typically using tailored radiofrequency pulses in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. This technique allows for the isolation and study of particular resonances without interference from others. It is widely employed in multidimensional NMR experiments.
