Ligand efficiency
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006567
A metric used in drug discovery to assess the binding affinity of a ligand to its target protein, normalized by the size or complexity of the ligand. It provides a way to compare compounds of different molecular weights or numbers of heavy atoms. This value is often expressed as binding energy per heavy atom or per unit molecular weight.
