Off-rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008201
The dissociation rate constant (k_off) describing the rate at which a ligand detaches from its binding partner, such as a drug molecule from its receptor. This kinetic parameter quantifies the stability of a molecular complex. A lower off-rate indicates a more stable and longer-lasting interaction between the ligand and its target.
