Immunoreactivity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013186
The ability of an antigen to bind specifically to an antibody, or the ability of an antibody to bind specifically to an antigen. This interaction forms the basis of many analytical techniques, such as immunoassays, used for detecting and quantifying specific substances in biological samples. It is a measure of the affinity and specificity of the molecular recognition.
