Capture probe
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001616
A molecule, typically a nucleic acid or antibody, designed to specifically bind and immobilize a target analyte from a sample onto a solid support. This immobilization facilitates the detection or further analysis of the target molecule. Capture probes are widely used in biosensors, immunoassays, and molecular diagnostics.
