Nucleotide sequence
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008143
The specific order of nucleotides within a DNA or RNA molecule. This sequence carries the genetic information that dictates the synthesis of proteins and other cellular functions. It is typically represented by a string of letters corresponding to the nucleobases: A, T, C, G for DNA, and A, U, C, G for RNA.
