Sensor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010749
A device that detects and responds to a physical stimulus, such as light, heat, pressure, or a chemical presence, and converts it into an electrical signal or other measurable output. In polymer science, polymers are often used as active or passive components in sensors due to their tunable properties and processability. These devices find applications in environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics, and industrial control.
