Primitive change
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009458
A fundamental alteration in the geometry of a reacting system, such as a change in bond length or bond angle, that occurs during a chemical reaction. These changes are the basic components that describe the movement of atoms along a reaction coordinate. They are often analyzed in terms of internal coordinates.
