Relative adsorption

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010134

The amount of a component adsorbed at an interface, expressed relative to the adsorption of another component or the total surface excess. This quantity is determined from the change in concentration of a solute in a bulk phase after contact with an adsorbent. It is a key parameter in understanding competitive adsorption processes.
