Substance fraction

The ratio of the amount of a specific substance to the total amount of all substances in a mixture. This quantity is dimensionless and expresses the proportion of one component relative to the whole. It is often expressed as a mole fraction, which is the number of moles of a substance divided by the total number of moles in the mixture.
