Fluorescent antibody

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004526

An antibody that has been chemically conjugated with a fluorescent dye, allowing it to be visualized under a fluorescence microscope or detected by flow cytometry. These labeled antibodies are used to specifically bind to target antigens in cells or tissues, enabling the localization and quantification of proteins, pathogens, or other biomolecules. Fluorescent antibodies are indispensable tools in immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry.
