Immunoblotting

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005657

A laboratory technique used to detect specific proteins in a sample by separating them via gel electrophoresis, transferring them to a membrane, and then probing with antibodies. The primary antibody binds to the target protein, and a secondary antibody, often conjugated with an enzyme or fluorophore, binds to the primary antibody for detection. This method is widely used for protein identification and quantification.
